how long have you served on the wfhs board?I joined the Board in 2004. I served as Treasurer from 2006-2012. Since, 2012, I have been serving as Board President.
What kind of pets do you have?I have three dogs: Simon, a blind Westie; Odie, a Dachshund; and Copper, a Basset Hound/Lab mix. I have four birds: two cockatiels, Chico & Chip; and two parakeets, Cha-Chi & Chili Pepper. I also have a 15-year-old son, Jacob, and we have a bearded dragon named Apollo and a tank full of goldfish.

What inspired you to serve on the WFHS Board?I wanted to help provide resources, training and educational opportunities and network-sharing amongst shelters and rescues in our state, and be part of a coalition of animal welfare professionals working toward raising the humane ethic in our communities.
What are your hobbies?I enjoy playing volleyball, movies, swimming, downhill skiing, snowmobiling, photography and spending time with family, friends and my pets.

What changes would you like to see happen in Wisconsin in regards to animal welfare?Improved laws that would help prevent animal abuse and neglect, additional resources to create programs for shelters, and rescues to work together to help more animals.
What is a fun fact about you?I am known as the bird lady, maybe crazy bird lady!
