WHERE DO YOU LIVE? Neillsville, Wisconsin
WHERE DO YOU WORK/WHAT IS YOUR CAREER?I’m Executive Director at the Clark County Humane Society.

HOW LONG HAVE YOU SERVED ON THE WFHS BOARD?I have had the privilege to serve on the WFHS Board of Directors since 2008.
WHAT KIND OF PETS DO YOU HAVE?I am currently in servitude to 3 cats and 2 dogs.
|
WHAT INSPIRED YOU TO SERVE ON THE WFHS BOARD? I felt that WFHS and the people serving on the board over the years had always been there for me and my organization when I needed information, resources and help. When my circumstances permitted, I decided it was time to give back and a good way to do that would be in helping other people and their organizations in the animal welfare field. Being on the WFHS Board is a great way to do that.
WHAT ARE YOUR HOBBIES? Lucky for me, my passion is animal welfare, so I have a perfect mix of hobby/work/interests in my life. I am so fortunate to know what I was born to be doing (and to actually be doing it).

WHAT CHANGES WOULD YOU LIKE TO SEE HAPPEN IN WISCONSIN IN REGARDS TO ANIMAL WELFARE?I would like to see more caring developed and instilled in young people during their elementary education. Unfortunately, caring, kindness, empathy and sympathy seem to be in ever-diminishing supply. I would like law enforcement to be more aware of the link between animal abuse and crimes against humans and I would like the legal system to give them the tools to do more about preventing it. Punishment for crimes against animals needs to be stronger, swifter and more public.
WHAT IS A FUN FACT ABOUT YOU?My wonderful wife Cheri, my life partner, and I met as volunteers scooping litter-boxes at the Shelter.
