WHERE DO YOU WORK/WHAT IS YOUR CAREER?I am the President of Chasing Daylight Animal Shelter a 501(c)(3) organization in Tomah, WI. My position is a volunteer position as all board member positions are volunteer. We are a very small, active board and participate in the day-to-day running of CDAS. My career is a certified registered nurse anesthetist at Gundersen Health System. I also served in the Army both active and reserve for 26 years and retired as a Colonel.

HOW LONG HAVE YOU SERVED ON THE WFHS BOARD?I have served for one year on the WFHS board.
WHAT KIND OF PETS DO YOU HAVE?I have a house of misfits which I love dearly! Dora, an old pit mix that is an ambassador for the breed. Dora is a confident dog that has mentored many fosters! Odin my goofy GSD rescue that is a canine good citizen! Lewis is a fiest & rescued from a hoarding home. Edith is an old pit with malignant lymphoma who is a jewel….Puddykins showed up on my porch in ’04 and never left. Hershey is FeLV positive and was homeless….Clayton was dumped in our neighborhood and is our Man Cave Cat. Banner has cerebella hyperplasia and claimed my husband….He loves his cat bag!

WHAT INSPIRED YOU TO SERVE ON THE WFHS BOARD? Eilene Ribbens inspired me to become involved with WFHS. I would like to offer a small rural perspective to the board.
WHAT ARE YOUR HOBBIES?CDAS is my passion, a dream that became a reality. I love live music, running, hiking, biking and the great outdoors!

WHAT CHANGES WOULD YOU LIKE TO SEE HAPPEN IN WISCONSIN IN REGARDS TO ANIMAL WELFARE?I would like to see companion animal welfare become a priority on the legislative agenda and current laws enforced to ensure every animal lives a full enriched life!
WHAT IS A FUN FACT ABOUT YOU?I have jumped in an icy lake for a dog that was drowning….We both made it out alive. :)
