About the BoardThe Wisconsin Federated Humane Society, Inc. is the only state-wide organization that represents humane societies in Wisconsin. The organization is governed by a Board of Directors, which sets policies and monitors finances. All board members maintain an individual membership in WFHS, and serve a three-year term, without compensation. Duties include attending and actively participating in scheduled board meetings and board retreats, taking part in committees and supporting special events.

Board members can expect to spend approximately 5 to 8 hours per month on Board related activities in addition to scheduled meetings.
